I still write almost everything longhand, then scribble all over the place, then print it out and scribble all over again. The resulting mess can be hard to decipher (there have been sentences I’d be forced to rewrite simply because I couldn’t make out the words), but I just love the process too much--there’s nothing more satisfying than crossing out whole paragraphs and moving things around. I wish I could preserve that in the final work, but that would be too pretentious even by my standards.
